Not since the great recession of 2008 have Americans reported that their quality of life as “struggling.” Now that has changed.
For years under Biden, things have been rough for the American people, rising inflation, costs of goods skyrocketing, and supply chain issues. That does not include the loss of incomes many families faced during the forced resignations over the last 2 years. Now a recent poll is bringing the light of day on everyday Americans plight to stay afloat.
Daily wire writes. According to a new survey, more Americans are “suffering” economically in 2022 than in 2008.
Gallup’s “Life Evaluation Index” for July found that 5.6% of Americans were “suffering” in life, the highest number since Gallup established the index in 2008. It is also higher than it was during the COVID-19 pandemic and lockdowns, or during the Great Recession. Additionally, the number of Americans who describe themselves as “thriving” has dropped to an 18-month low.
As this poll was taken, it was reported that Americans are struggling to pay bills during the rising inflation.
Money reports. In 2022, more Americans are struggling to pay their bills than ever before – possibly even since the pandemic began.
Approximately 91 million U.S. adults have difficulty affording typical household expenses, according to Census Bureau data released this week. Between June 29 and July 11, 40% of Americans responded to the bureau’s survey.
