Drag Racing Death Leads to Lightfoot Wanting To Censor Free Speech

Following a tragic death due to lawlessness in Lightfoots Chicago, the mayor shot back with wanting to censor free speech.

Days after a tragic death from drag racing, and the following riot where individuals were seen throwing bricks and signs at cop cars, lightfoot is blaming social media and demanding that social media censor individuals’ posts.

Daily Wire writes. Shawman Meireis, 40, was hit by a speeding car near Midway Airport the day before her birthday on Sunday. She was later pronounced dead at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn. A police vehicle was attacked by an angry crowd in the Pilsen area on Sunday, The Chicago Tribune reported. Meanwhile, Lightfoot blamed social media for the drag races, saying, “They need to work proactively with law enforcement to address these issues.”

In relation to the attack on police, and the death at the drag racing track, Lightfoot was asked about social media’s influence. In response, she attacked social media and demanded that police work with the companies to restrict the posting of racing videos.

Lightfoot in the past has taken to social media to call for violence.

Next News Network previously reported.  Mayor Lori Lightfoot of Chicago gave a “call to arms” tweet in May this was in reaction to the draft ruling that leaked from the Supreme Court earlier this year and shows a decision that ended up overturning Roe v Wade. Lightfoot tweeted this

“To my friends in the LGBTQ+ community—the Supreme Court is coming for us next. This moment has to be a call to arms. We will not surrender our rights without a fight – a fight to victory!”

She finished, “To every staffer, elected official, and Capitol employee: please stay safe.”

Lightfoot is a hypocrite, she is as anti police as you get. Her city needs help on every level and she’s blaming social media instead of her policies. It’s incredible how easy it is for the liberal left to resort to extreme censorship when things don’t go their way.
