IT STARTS HERE: Colorado Denies Homeowners Control Of Their Own Homes

Colorado residents are not being allowed to have freedoms in their own homes, as the energy gestapo prevents them from staying cool.

We live in the United States of America the freest nation on the earth, not commuinist China. So you tell me how it is that energy companies can restrict people from cooling their own houses, or stopping people from charging their cars. It is private property.

The post millennial writes. Xcel energy customers in Denver, Colorado were locked out of adjusting their own thermostats on Tuesday even as temperatures reached the 90s. According to local ABC news, the vice president of customer solutions and innovation at Xcel, Emmett Romine, said “Let’s remember that this is something that customers choose to be a part of based on the incentives.”

Some HVAC heroes have taken to social media to help residents in colorado, and other areas who found themselves locked out of their thermostats. Here is his advice for educational purposes if you find yourself in a similar situation. Wink Wink.

California has made similar moves when it comes to thermostats, but they have taken it one step further.

Currently, California is experiencing a severe heatwave. As a result of the extreme temperatures, energy providers have asked residents to refrain from charging their electric vehicles in Los Angeles, which reached 111 degrees.

Additionally, the Independent System Operator recommends limiting the use of major appliances during peak times, such as washing machines, vacuum cleaners, and dishwashers.

California’s Air Resources Board (CARB) only announced a roadmap for banning petrol-powered vehicles a week ago. The call to limit electric vehicle charging follows that announcement. By 2035, the ban on gas poweredl cars is expected to apply to 35 percent of sales, 68 percent by 2030, and 100 percent by 2035.

Talk about a dystopian future. What happened to private ownership and owners rights here in America? What right does a power company have to tell you when it is ok to stay cool in your own house? Further any limits on being able to run your own appliances, or charge your car. The residents should opt-out of those programs and seek some well founded legal advice.

Let’s continue this conversation, in the comments below.
