UNREAL! IRS Confesses After Sending $1.3 Billion Dollars to 163,000 Stone Cold Killers

After finding out how much money in stimulus checks went to prison inmates during the pandemic, you will be absolutely outraged.

A lot of mistakes were made during the pandemic, but this one deserves some kind of award.

According to the Washington Examiner, Data from the Internal Revenue Service indicates that over 1.1 million pandemic stimulus checks totaling over $1.3 billion were sent to incarcerated people nationwide.

An IRS letter obtained by the Washington Examiner sent to Representative Don Bacon (R-NE) states that the $1.3 billion figure includes economic impact payments, but excludes recovery rebate credits, another form of COVID-19 relief.

As noted by American Lookout, there were approximately 163,000 recipients of the checks serving life sentences.

“It’s outrageous that those who inflicted pain on a family or community by committing a crime received a single dime from the government during the pandemic. If anything, the funds should have gone to the victims who would have been better served,” Bacon said in a statement to the Washington Examiner.

Approximately 156,000 checks were issued at the federal level and 982,000 at the state level, according to the IRS. Prisoners were given stimulus money through checks, direct deposits, and debit cards.Former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo reacted to the revelation, tweeting, “Thanks to President Biden, more than 1 million prisoners received Covid stimulus checks. Maybe he can send his 87,000 new IRS agents to retrieve those rather than go after hard-working Americans.”

Taxpayers should be outraged at this newest revelation coming out of the IRS. This situation is just plain ridiculous.
