BILLIONS Added to National Debt as Dems Make SPLIT SECOND Move ahead of Midterms

The United States is sending more money to Ukraine.

According to FOX News, During an unscheduled visit to Kyiv on Thursday, Secretary of State Antony Blinken announced a $2 billion military aid package for Ukraine and other European nations at risk from Russian aggression.

According to Blinken, the latest package will provide long-term financing for military aid to Ukraine as well as 18 NATO members and regional security partners that are “most vulnerable to future Russian aggression.”

A few hours earlier, Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin announced that the U.S. approved another $675 million in heavy armament for Ukraine.

Thursday morning, Blinken wrote on Twitter, “I have directed a $675 million drawdown of arms and equipment from @DeptofDefense stockpiles for Ukraine, as well as an additional $2.2 billion to support long-term defense investments in Ukraine and 18 neighbors. The United States continues to be #UnitedWithUkraine.”

In total, the White House has provided more than $15 billion to Ukraine since President Biden took office.

Now, as FOX News also reports, Republican lawmakers worry that the White House is pushing the aid package because they know some Republicans will oppose it without adequate accountability metrics. Republicans fear that such opposition will be used to unfairly smear all Republicans as isolationists or lackeys of Russian President Vladimir Putin as the midterm elections near closer.

“This newest call from President Biden is simply a superficial midterm election gimmick that will only damage our country in both the short and long term,” said Rep. Andy Biggs, R-Ariz.

Biggs added on Twitter, “This spending is unsustainable.”
