According to the Daily Mail, ‘We Build the Wall’ not-for-profit founder Steve Bannon was escorted into a New York courtroom in handcuffs Thursday after turning himself in to state authorities.
He declared as he was dragged into the courtroom: ‘They’ll have to kill me before they can shut me up.’
His involvement in the group that raised $15 million for a southern border wall and pocketed $1 million is the subject of criminal charges.
New York Attorney General Letitia James has charged Bannon with two counts of money laundering, three counts of conspiracy, and one count of scheming to defraud.
As noted by the TODAY Show, Bannon pleaded not guilty to defrauding donors who gave money to build the wall.
