Crime Surge in California! Democrats let another Criminal Free

California is a breeding ground for criminals and Democrats keep letting them go free. Another convicted felon was let out onto the streets and you guessed it… committed another crime. Wait until you see this one.

Criminals are taking over California.

According to The New York Post. Fox News Digital has learned that a California judge, a descendant of a powerful Democratic family, granted an ex-con a mistrial for an alleged violent McDonald’s robbery because he was sleepy in court.

Daniel Lowenthal, whose Democratic congressman father backed George Gascón, the city’s embattled top prosecutor, rendered the ruling Wednesday.

Vamazae Elgin Banks, 24, was on trial for allegedly pointing a gun at the head of a McDonald’s cashier and threatening to kill her if she didn’t hand over cash quickly.

Court records show Banks allegedly told the victim, “It’s time for you to hurry up or I’ll blow your brains out!”

He made off with less than $100 from the McDonald’s on East 4th Street in Long Beach.

According to California’s three-strikes laws, Banks faces up to life in prison if convicted of three counts of robbery and one count of assault with a semi-automatic firearm.

In the past, he has been convicted of two violent felonies, robbery and making criminal threats.

notes because he had been put in a cell without a blanket or bed the night before.

It was enough for Lowenthal, who ripped the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department for negligence and granted the mistrial request.

Alan Lowenthal (D-Calif.), who was first elected to Congress in 2012, represents parts of eastern Los Angeles County and western Orange County. Additionally, he served as a city councilman and state senator in California.

He endorsed Gascón, Los Angeles County’s controversial soft-on-crime prosecutor, who narrowly survived a recall effort this month. Take a look at the type of people Gascon decides not to charge and prosecute in California.

After the judge declared a mistrial, Halstead said the decision would compel the victims to relive their trauma once again at a new proceeding.

Banks, who is being held on a $1.18 million bond, is due back in court for a new trial on Sept. 13.

Villanueva said the sheriff’s department was “working on [the situation] with custody operations.”

Lowenthal didn’t immediately return a request for comment.

This is the California prosecutors and judges are creating. Not charging criminals in important cases, and then granting a mistrial for violent criminals because they apparently didn’t sleep well enough. California is turning into a third world country and its driving more people out by the day.
