You’re probably wondering what all the fuss is about with Governor DeSantis’ recent speech on big business operations in the United States. In this video, We’re going to break down what he said and why you need to know.
I imagine that most conservatives watching right now are in agreement with Ron DeSantis when he argued that a “shift from serving corporate America to creating a “good, fulfilling life and a prosperous society.” is what America needs. But what, exactly, does that mean?
Interestingly, the solutions DeSantis proposes have nothing to do with government intervention. Rather, he believes that we need to change how big business operates in the US. This includes making it easier for small businesses to compete and by encouraging companies to invest in their workers. I’m not sure if all conservatives will agree with everything DeSantis says, but his ideas are certainly worth considering.
According to The Washington Examiner. DeSantis said big business needs to move away from serving corporate America and focus on creating a “good, fulfilling life and prosperous society.”
During his keynote speech in Washington, D.C., on Sunday, DeSantis argued that Florida’s business model offers conservatives a lesson.
The Republican governor, who is campaigning for reelection as governor in Florida, also addressed election integrity, telling those in attendance: “You can have the best election laws in the world, but if they’re not enforced, what good are they?”
While blasting leftist COVID-19 mandates, the Republican praised Florida’s example of education and medical freedom.
DeSantis said, “Not only were they wrong about schools, the elites were wrong about lockdowns, epidemiological and hospitalization models, forced masking, the efficacy of natural immunity,” “In almost every significant issue, the elites were wrong.”
A survey last week shows that DeSantis leads his Democratic opponent, former Democratic governor and House member Charlie Crist, 50%-41%, in his reelection campaign.
DeSantis’s speech is a rallying cry for conservatives to shift their focus from what is best for corporate America and instead create policies that will benefit the average American. This message is one that will likely resonate with many voters, as it paints Republicans as champions of the people. Although this address felt like a campaign speech, it is still too early to tell if he’s going to run in 2024.
