Whoopi Goldberg says overturning Roe violates her religious freedom – watch her explain why

The overturning of Roe v Wade angered many people across the country. The left went crazy and claimed it violated their rights and some even petitioned for the Supreme Court to be abolished. Now one famous liberal is claiming that Overturning Roe is violating her Religious rights. Wait until you see this one.

Surprise surprise! Whoopi Goldberg is back making absurd claims on ABC’s The View

According to The Daily Wire. She argued Monday that Roe v. Wade’s decision to overturn the landmark abortion case violated her freedom of religion.

According to Goldberg, the fact that Roe had been overturned, as a result of Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, means that she has to follow the religion of someone else. She made these comments during the ABC midday talk show “The View” on Monday.

The conversation started when Vice President Kamala Harris, who claimed during an interview with NBC that the Supreme Court had become an “activist court” because of the decision to overturn Roe.

In response, Chief Justice John Roberts said: “I do not understand how people disagree with the Supreme Court’s opinions and its legitimacy… All of our opinions can be criticized.” In fact, our members do a great job of criticizing some opinions from time to time. But simply because people disagree with an opinion is not a basis for criticizing the legitimacy of the court.”

Goldberg then weighed in, arguing that because the overturning of Roe impacted the right for women to obtain abortions, she didn’t believe it should be a matter of “opinion.”

The attacks from the left have been persistent and John Roberts recently Defended the Supreme Court.

As reported by WTHR. During his first public appearance since Roe v. Wade was overturned by the U.S. Supreme Court, Roberts was asked how he felt about the past year at the court. According to Roberts, some critics of the court’s controversial decisions have lately questioned its legitimacy, which he characterized as a mistake. No specific cases or critics were mentioned.

Roberts described the last year as an unusual and difficult one, pointing to the public not being allowed inside the court, which closed in 2020 due to the Coronavirus pandemic. He also said it was “gut wrenching” to drive into the Supreme Court that was surrounded by barricades every day.

The barriers were installed in May when protests erupted outside the court and outside the homes of some Supreme Court justices after an unprecedented leak of a draft opinion indicating the justices were planning to overturn Roe v. Wade, which provided women with constitutional protection for abortion for nearly 50 years. The barriers have been removed, and the public will be allowed back inside when the new session of the court begins in October, but Roberts’ investigation into the leak continues

In the same conference Thursday, Justice Neil Gorsuch said identifying the leaker is “terribly important” and he expects an update on the investigation “soon.”

Several justices have publicly condemned the leak, including Gorsuch.

Since the leak and release of the final abortion decision, opinion polls have shown a sharp drop in approval for the court.

It’s understandable that the leak would cause approval of the court to drop. But just because the court decided a case that Whoopi Goldberg disagrees with doesn’t mean the court is illegitimate. Whoopi clearly doesn’t understand that they interpret the constitution. She should probably do a little more homework before attacking the court.
