West Virginia Joins Coalition Of States To Preserve Life

In a recent move West Virginia law makers have voted to join a growing coalition of states that are flat out banning abortion.

The battle on abortion rages on across the country as the midterms approach, and surprisingly West Virginia state law makers have voted to protect the lives of the unborn. This move comes as we have seen m

Washington Examiner writes. With limited exceptions, West Virginia lawmakers passed a law banning abortion in the state on Tuesday.

In the law, abortions are prohibited except when the mother’s life is at risk, when rape or incest occurred and was reported to law enforcement, or when the fetus is not medically viable. It was previously legal in West Virginia to perform abortions until 22 weeks of pregnancy.

It passed the state Senate 22-7 and the House 77-17. In order for the bill to become law, it must be signed by Gov. Jim Justice (R-WV), a staunch opponent of abortion rights. Doctors or licensed medical practitioners who intentionally or recklessly perform or induce abortions outside of the exceptions could face discipline, including losing their license, under the new law, but they would not be charged with crimes.

West Virginia is joining other states who have banned abortion following the supreme court decision.

Next News Network reported. The Kentucky Supreme Court upheld the commonwealth’s abortion ban on Thursday, allowing the Human Life Protection Act and Heartbeat Law to remain in place. It’s at least temporary, while the court reviews the case.

Despite the court’s decision, the Planned Parenthood affiliate only stated that they would continue to “help patients access care and continue our fight to restore abortion access and protect reproductive freedom in Kentucky.”

Numerous states had trigger laws in effect, in the event that Roe V Wade was overturned by the supreme court.

It is good to see state lawmakers not cave to the insane liberal tactics used to

Stop conservatives. Good job to them.
