The Democrats’ midterm messaging will suffer now that Biden’s cannot claim that gas prices are falling.

President Biden can no longer tout falling gas prices with the midterms less than two months away.

Townhall Reports. For the first time in nearly 100 days, gas prices rose, up to $3.681 on Wednesday from $3.674. 

AAA Spokesperson Andrew Gross said in a statement “All streaks have to end at some point, and the national average for a gallon of gas has fallen $1.34 since its peak in mid-June, But there are big factors tugging on global oil prices—war, COVID, economic recession, and hurricane season. All this uncertainty could push oil prices higher, likely resulting in slightly higher pump prices.”  

Biden and Democrats had been taking victory laps on falling gas prices, which saw national averages peak to over $5 per gallon earlier this summer.

The Biden administration has known what their policies would do to gas prices, and don’t care about the consequences.

Joe Biden has been on record numerous times discussing his intentions to end the oil industry. A video of Biden from March of 2020 has been circulating of the then-candidate in recent days and shows him talking about cutting back domestic oil production. The clip was from the Democratic presidential primary debate between him and Sen. Bernie Sanders. In the clip, Biden promises to slow down the US energy industry by using regulations and slashing subsidies.

It was not so long ago that gasoline was under $2 per gallon, and we could all not take out small loans to fill our gas tanks. By Biden’s own admission that he wanted to end the oil industry it is no surprise that fuel prices rose drastically when he took office. Do not forge this when you vote in November.
