WATCH: Stacey Abrams Promotes False Science About 6 Week Fetal Heartbeat

Democrats like Stacey Abrams keep pushing false science about 6 week fetal heartbeats to try and justify abortions. This is nothing but an attempt to deceive the American people, and it needs to be called out for what it is. Abrams should be ashamed of herself for promoting these lies, and her party should stop supporting her campaign.

On Wednesday, Georgia Democratic gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams said there is no such thing as a fetal heartbeat at six weeks of pregnancy.

According to FOX News, Abrams said the sound of such fetal heartbeats is “manufactured” by men in order to dominate women.

FOX notes that in her remarks, Abrams appeared to be referring to the state’s pro-life law that was passed after Roe v. Wade was overturned.

Georgia’s Living Infants Fairness and Equality (Life) Act, also known as the “heartbeat bill,” bans abortion after fetal heartbeats are detected – sometimes as early as six weeks. As long as a police report is filed, the Georgia law allows exceptions for rape and incest. A fetus may also be aborted at a later stage when the mother’s life is at risk or if a serious medical condition renders the fetus unviable.

Despite passing in 2019, the law was declared unconstitutional by a federal judge. After an appeals court overturned the lower court’s ruling, the law went into effect on July 20.

Susan B Anthony list, a strong pro-life organization, reacted to Abrams’ comments by tweeting out a video of the science behind a baby’s heartbeat while in the womb.

Kayleigh McEnany, former Press Secretary under President Trump, also hit back at Abrams, tweeting, “Stacey Abrams said there’s “no such thing as a heartbeat at 6 weeks. It is a manufactured sound designed to convince people that men have the right to take control of a woman’s body” She is wrong! I heard my baby’s heartbeat at my 1st OBGYN appointment. It was not manufactured!”

McEnany also discussed this topic while on FOX’s Outnumbered.

And, as noted by the Daily Wire, former cohost of “The View” Meghan McCain also took issue with Abrams’ comments.

“Hearing my babies heartbeats at six weeks is hands down one of the most exciting, liberating and most beautiful moments of my entire life,” McCain tweeted to her hundreds of thousands of followers. “Hands down.”

“Stacey Abrams is a very sick person to say this and somehow accuse doctors of faking fetal heartbeats,” she added. “Full stop.”
