We all know California has gone full woke. Their state is led by radical Gavin Newsom who constantly pushes the state further into the garbage with his leftist policies. Now, a new regulation was just announced and the reason for it is ludacris.

California has done it again with their ridiculous woke government

The Daily Wire Reports. A California Air Resources Board (CARB) report released on Aug. 30 recommends banning all diesel semi-trucks by 2040 in an effort to fight climate change and rectify the legacy of racial discrimination.

By 2035, trucks entering ports and rail yards would have to be fully electric, according to the report. CARB believes that such freight vehicles should be banned because the diesel emissions they produce disproportionately affect low-income and minority communities due to so-called “racist zoning policies.

The regulators stated. “Decades of racist and classist practices, including red-lining and siting decisions, have concentrated heavy-duty vehicle and freight activities in these communities, with concomitant disproportionate pollution burdens.” “CARB has legal and moral obligations to lessen these burdens.” 

The California Air Resources Board must vote on the proposal to ban diesel semi-trucks on Oct. 27. State and local governments would also be required to convert their fleets to fully electric by 2027 under the proposed regulations.

Gavin Newsom alone isn’t responsible for this woke regulation push. He had help from our sleepy commander and chief Joe Biden. 

As The Daily Wire Reports. Last month, California passed a regulation banning the sale of gas-powered vehicles; the new emissions rule, which was backed by Joe Biden himself, could accelerate the nationwide transition to electric vehicles. 

This rule will ban gas-fueled cars by 2035. If you think fueling is tough now the acceleration of EV’s could make it even worse. Take a look at this EV charging station in California. 

The law may push an increasing number of states to adopt similar rules and force Americans to exclusively buy electric vehicles (EVs). The Maryland Department of the Environment reports that numerous Democrat-run states, including New York, Massachusetts and Maryland, routinely adopt California’s clean car standard.

According to a press release, President Joe Biden’s Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) restored California’s Clean Air Act waiver in March, allowing the state to set its strict vehicle emission standards. California’s waiver was formally revoked by the Trump administration in September 2019, citing that California’s emissions problems were not unique.

In addition, 17 Republican attorneys general filed a lawsuit against the EPA after it reinstated California’s waiver in May.

Another day… another pointless woke law pushed by Democrats. California is one of the most polluted states already. Banning diesel trucks and switching to EV’s that are powered by coal plants will do nothing. 

The next step is other blue states adopting the same woke policies in the name of “racial equality”. If you live in a Democrat run state you want to keep your diesel truck, you better get out of there soon!
