It seems like everybody except the Biden administration knows just how bad the crisis is at our southern border. Spoiler alert: Mayorkas is not going to be so pleased with Hawley’s request.

Senator Josh Hawley is demanding DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas to resign from his post immediately.
According to Townhall, In his two years leading the department, Hawley claims Mayorkas “intentionally disregarded” all immigration laws, causing the ongoing border crisis the Biden administration has carelessly exacerbated.
In a letter to Mayorkas, Hawley writes, “This was the predictable result of your open border policies…your intentional disregard for our country’s immigration laws makes you unfit to remain in office. You should resign.”
On Twitter, Hawley added, “Joe Biden is getting what he wanted: an open border and the destruction of the US immigration system. And the American people are paying the price. Secretary Mayorkas must go – enough is enough”
As noted by the Daily Caller, Hawley’s letter comes shortly after Customs and Border Protection released a report revealing four times the number of illegal migrants seen in 2020, over two million so far this fiscal year.
However, Mayorkas has stated many times before that he believes that the border is “secure.”
Here’s an example of Mayorkas making that claim just recently in July.
Senator Hawley is right – Mayorkas needs to go. Our southern border is in turmoil, and we don’t need our DHS Secretary lying to our faces about it. We need a true leader in his role who will actually step up and do something about it.
