A newly resurfaced video of President Trump debating Joe Biden in 2020 has popped up in the right place at the right time.
The Daily Wire reports, last week after Wall Street saw a bloodbath, a clip of former President Donald Trump predicting a plummeting stock market spread online.
In response to the Federal Reserve’s decision on Wednesday afternoon to raise federal funds rates by 0.75%, the Dow Jones Industrial Average, which monitors 30 of the most prominent companies on American exchanges, plunged more than 500 points. The index fell another 500 points to 29,400 by early Friday afternoon after stagnating on Thursday. As a comparison, the Dow closed slightly above 30,900 on January 20, 2021, the day of Biden’s inauguration.
During a 2020 debate, Trump said, “The stock market will boom if I win.” He added, “If Biden’s elected, the stock market will crash.”.
And Trump was exactly right.
According to Conservative pollster InteractivePolls, which posted the debate clip to social media, the tech-heavy NASDAQ had risen 44% by the time Trump had served 612 days in office. During Biden’s tenure, however, the index has fallen by more than 19%.
