It’s true: everything is bigger in Texas.
According to FOX News, a North Texas town recently installed a 50 x 80-foot flagpole to fly the American flag as high as possible.
The Blaze notes that the flag is nearly 200 feet in the air so that “people from far and wide can witness the patriotic fervor of nearby residents.”
The mayor of Rockwall, Texas, a suburb of Dallas and Fort Worth, joined “Fox & Friends” Thursday morning to discuss the idea and how the symbol of patriotism came about.
Rockwall has a population of just over 45,000 people and sits just over an hour south of the Oklahoma state line.
This display of patriotism is a great way to show support for our troops and country. Other American towns should take notice. Way to go, Rockwall!
