President Biden instantly hit a roadblock after unveiling his plan to end hunger in America.

The Daily Wire writes, on Tuesday, the White House announced a plan to “end hunger” through welfare expansion.

In a press release, the White House details that in 1969, President Richard Nixon held the White House Conference on Food, Nutrition, and Health, but food insecurity had not been ended.

In a video message, Biden announced that he is reviving the conference.

To solve “food insecurity,” the White House intends to expand access to free school meals by expanding the Summer Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) program and SNAP eligibility, piloting medically tailored meals through Medicaid, and increasing the availability of nutrition and obesity counseling for Medicaid and Medicare beneficiaries, among other initiatives. Additionally, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) plans to expand its State Physical Activity and Nutrition Program nationwide.

But there’s just one problem with Biden’s plan – 40-year inflation.

The Daily Wire goes on to report that prices for food rose 11.4% between August 2021 and August 2022, according to data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. The cost of food at home, which includes grocery store and supermarket purchases, rose 0.7% from the previous month. And, an American study by Bank of America found that roughly 71% felt their salary or wages were outpacing their cost of living.

This happened all under Biden’s watch, and he made it even worse by signing multiple spending packages that economists argue only further aggravate inflation.

And, to make matters even worse in the here and now, Yahoo Finance is reporting that due to Hurricane Ian, food prices are likely to skyrocket even more due to the storm “disrupting the fertilizer supply” in Florida and surrounding areas.
