The governor of Florida criticized President Joe Biden during a press conference held Tuesday as the state prepares for a hurricane category 4 to hit.
According to the Daily Wire, Biden held separate calls earlier in the day with Tampa Mayor Jane Castor, St. Petersburg Mayor Ken Welch, and Clearwater Mayor Frank Hibbard. DeSantis was not mentioned in an official White House readout of the calls.
The governor was asked how he would describe his conversations with Biden as Hurricane Harvey approaches. That’s when DeSantis criticized Biden’s “pettiness.”
"I’m happy to brief the President if he’s interested in hearing what we’re doing in Florida… You've got people’s lives at stake…no time for pettiness, we've gotta work together to make sure we’re doing the best job for them. So my phone line is open." @RonDeSantisFL on Biden pic.twitter.com/d2FkngDq5J

After DeSantis revealed just how petty Biden was, it appeared that the White House acted quickly to get Biden on the phone with the Governor, as his press secretary tweeted out on Tuesday evening, “President Biden spoke this evening with Governor DeSantis of Florida to discuss the steps the Federal government is taking to help Florida prepare for Hurricane Ian. The President and the Governor committed to continued close coordination.”

Then, during an interview with Sean Hannity on FOX News Tuesday night, DeSantis reaffirmed his gratitude for President Biden’s cooperation in the Hurricane Ian response effort.
