In Texas over the weekend a “Unity March” happened at the Texas State capitol, hundreds of participants came out and voiced their concerns for lawmakers in Texas.
Blaze reported. Black rights groups in Texas recently protested against illegal immigration and in favor of their Second Amendment rights.
A group led by the Elmer Geronimo Pratt Pistol and Rifle Gun Club held the third annual “Second Amendment Unity Walk” on Saturday. In addition, they carried a banner that read, “REPARATIONS NOW!”
People even attempted to start a “Build the wall!” chant in reference to former President Trump’s call to build a wall on the U.S. southern border, but they were not followed by the rest of the crowd.
The marchers do not necessarily align with those on the political right, according to at least one group leader.
With all the national attention on illegal immigration, the protesters have every right to be angry that jobs are being taken away from the black community nation wide.
The march was held in the days after Vice President Kamala Harris slammed Republicans for dragging migrants to locations across the country for the ‘sake of a headline’ after Governor Greg Abbott dropped two buses full of asylum-seekers off in front of her home.
The vice president was put in charge of the migration crisis by President Joe Biden, but her office quickly branded the role as addressing the root causes why people flee to the U.S. from Northern Triangle countries.
The protest and march remained peaceful, and they got their points out eloquently, which is how any protest or march should do so. We begin to wonder since the group was supporting anti illegal immigrant chants how the left will spin this group to look racist, and as a bunch of right wing nut jobs.
