Plus-sized rapper Lizzo recently was given permission to play James Madison’s crystal flute, but what she did with her body as she blew the first note from the instrument has conservatives in absolute disgust.

Lizzo twerked this week while playing James MAdison’s 200-year old crystal flute.
According to the Daily Wire, she claimed to be the first person to play a 200-year-old crystal flute lent to her by The Library of Congress.
Formerly owned by James Madison, the fourth president of the United States, the instrument is one of the finest instruments in the world.
FOX 5 DC notes that Lizzo played the flute during her “Special” tour stop at the Capital One Arena.
She shared a clip of the event with followers alongside the caption: “YALL.. THE LIBRARY OF CONGRESS LET ME PLAY THEIR HISTORIC 200 YEAR OLD CRYSTAL FLUTE ON STAGE TONIGHT. NO ONE HAS EVER HEARD WHAT IT SOUNDS LIKE… NOW YOU DO,” she said, tagging the Library of Congress.
Lizzo also twerked in the Library of Congress while playing the flute.
Despite the positive media coverage of the event, not everyone is praising the singer for her act with the historical artifact.
One Twitter user noted that the historical flute was “the fastest anything has ever lost its value.”
Greg Price reacted, “The Library of Congress really took out a 200-year old flute that belonged to James Madison just so Lizzo could twerk with it. They degrade our history and then call you racist if you actually value it.”
Andrew McCarthy tweeted, “Everyone involved in the decision to allow Lizzo to twerk while playing James Madison’s flute needs to be deported. I don’t care if they’re citizens. Deport them somewhere.”
And Ben Shapiro wrote, “This Lizzo-flute controversy is a perfect example of what I have termed Face Tattoo Phenomenon™: the phenomenon whereby someone does something deliberately controversial in an attempt to draw attention, and then acts offended when you notice.”
Lizzo disrespected our Founding Father by twerking and playing his flute. That musical instrument was a piece of history meant to be respected. Now, all of that value is gone.
