Former Democratic Gov. Andrew Cuomo of New York has announced a return to politics, per a new video posted online on Wednesday.
Daily Caller reports. Cuomo’s announcement of new political activity comes over a year after he resigned in disgrace on Aug. 23, 2021. In 2020 and 2021, Cuomo was accused by several women – including his former aides, political consultants, and a State Police trooper assigned to his protective detail – of sexual harassment, prompting an investigation by the New York Attorney General’s office.
Yet the former governor announced his comeback, and formation of a political PAC, in a video message he posted to Vimeo.
This move comes after Cuomo announced his lawsuit against New York’s Attorney General.
Next News Network reported. Andrew Cuomo filed an ethics complaint against Letitia James, the state’s attorney general.
Cuomo alleged James intentionally misled the public about sexual assault allegations against him and exploited the inquiry for her own political and personal gain. He claimed that James’s report on 11 sexual assault allegations against him repeatedly implied that he was guilty despite the investigation itself finding that most of the accusations did not constitute sexual assault. Two of the attorney general’s hand-picked aides: Joon Kim and Anne Clark, are also named in his complaint.
The world will never forget the atrocities Cuomo committed against senior citizens in New York State during the height of the virus. Cuomo can make whatever excuses he wants, but he made the choices that lead to the massive loss of life.
