Chris Cuomo’s debut on his new show at “Newsnation” was a ratings flop. It was so bad he was even beat by Spongebob Squarepants in a critical demographic. I don’t know about you, but I didn’t watch Chris Cuomo’s debut on the new show “Newsnation.” Turns out, I wasn’t alone. The ratings for his first episode were pretty dismal.

Just a few days ago we reported on Chris Cuomo’s return to cable news. We told you it was going to be a disaster, and it was. A complete ratings disaster.
The premiere was so bad that reruns on NewsNation of syndicated shows like “Blue Bloods” , “Paw Patrol,” “SpongeBob,” “Seinfeld,” “Cocomelon,” “The Office,” and “Bobs Burgers” all attracted more 25-54 year-old viewers.
Nielsen Media Research reports that CNN star Cuomo’s new show “Cuomo” on NewsNation drew just 147,000 viewers on Monday night, according to the New York Post.
Cuomo drew just 8,000 viewers in the 25-to-54 age group, which advertisers consider most influential.
Nielsen reports that CNBC, Fox Business, HLN, and Newsmax beat Cuomo in the 25-54 age bracket.
In the 25-54 demographic, Cuomo’s show had an even smaller audience than the previous NewsNation show at 7 PM.
While in his new show he made a radical attempt to appear to be a cool-headed centrist, we know he is anything but. For Years he towed the democrat party line spewing state sponsored propaganda to advance the establishment narrative against President Trump.
But who can forget this moment – when Cuomo revealed he is far from cool headed.
Or how about the time when FREDO was given confidential and privileged information by the New York State Executive Chamber, when his brother, the governor of New York, was the governor? It was all detailed in Letitia James’ report on the several sexual harassment allegations that were lodged against Andrew Cuomo (D)? This is what ultimately got FREDO fired from CNN.
Or what about when he staged his “official” departure from quarantine? After he was out inspecting properties then he got into it with some guy on the road.Despite this news being out there, CNN continued to act as if Cuomo had never left his basement quarantine.
In comparison, The Fox News host, Tucker Carlson, dominated cable news on Monday, drawing 2.9 million viewers – 20 times as many as Cuomo – as well as 445,000 in the 25-54 age group.
Meanwhile bad news has hit Rachel Maddow’s replacement at MSNBC. Alex Wagner, who in mid-August took over Maddow’s timeslot, has also proven to be a huge flop.
According to CNN Business, As “Alex Wagner Tonight” Wagner’s show lost 50% of Maddow’s audience in the key 25-54 advertising demo. The number of viewers fell by 34%, from 2.4 million to 1.6 million.
Watching Cuomo’s re-entry into cable news was bizarre. Despite all of his emotion for the camera, the language he used felt disingenuous. In an effort to fool you, he desperately wants to seem like a member of the middle. In the wake of his toxic departure from CNN, only News Nation was willing to take a chance on him. For a million dollars a year, I guess he will say anything. In the end, a leopard can’t change its spots, and with pitiful ratings, it is only a matter of time before they realize people see through his charade. As for other things to do for a laugh, if you don’t want to watch FREDO claw his way up from the bottom, you can always watch another sponge who currently resides in a pineapple under the sea.
