Midterms are upon us! It is go time for candidates across the nation as they square off to see who will come out on top in their respective races. In Arizona, it is not only Arizonians that are hoping Kari Lake wins, but the rest of America. The biggest topic: the border.

Daily wire writes. Kari Lake, a Republican candidate for governor in Arizona, reiterated her promise to declare the border crisis an invasion if elected.

Lake said on CBS’s “Face the Nation” Sunday that the influx of illegal immigrants crossing the border and the amount of fentanyl trafficked across warranted this classification. As such, Lake said she would use her authority to recruit help from other states to help secure the border.

Watch.

Kari Lake will not have to worry about support for her plan.

Next news network reported. The county of Van Zandt in northeast Texas is the 18th to declare an invasion at its southern border.

County commissioners and Judge Don Kirkpatrick signed a resolution supporting Gov. Greg Abbott’s efforts to reduce border chaos.

In the resolution, it is stated that “illegal immigration, human trafficking, and drug smuggling coming across the U.S. border from Mexico pose a serious threat to the health, safety, and welfare of Texas residents.”

According to the report, “more than 3.2 million illegal aliens have been apprehended after unlawfully entering the United States since January 2021,” and more than 800,000 illegal aliens have avoided apprehension when illegally entering the United States and remain unaccounted for.”

The border is an abject disaster. There isn’t strong enough words for how bad it is down there, and the nation needs someone like Kari Lake to join Greg Abbott, Ron Desantis and other governors to do the job that the federal government is not doing.

Let’s continue this conversation, in the comments below.
