After missing recruitment numbers by a large margin in 2022, the U.S. Army is scrambling. 

As we previously reported, The U.S. Army came 15,000 soldiers short of meeting its 2022 recruiting goals, making the year the worst on record since the services switched to an all-volunteer force nearly 50 years ago. 

In the 2022 fiscal year, the Army brought in 45,000 new soldiers, falling 25% short of its 60,000 goal. 

Now, according to Townhall, leaders are giving few new details on how the Army plans to fill the ranks after falling far short of recruitment goals this year despite plans to invest more in marketing.

The Army’s failed recruitment goal prompted Selective Service to send out this tweet which reads, “Parents, if your son is an only son and the last male in your family to carry the family name, he is still required to register with SSS.”

Christine Wormuth, the Army Secretary, refused to acknowledge that wokeness within the military has contributed to the decline of recruitment on Capitol Hill on Monday. She even pretended not to know what wokeness was. 

As noted by Townhall, Wormuth’s answer comes as the Army has been running recruitment advertisements like this: 

In response to Wormuth’s act on Capitol Hill, former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo tweeted, “Madam Secretary – you know exactly what woke means: dividing by race, promoting CRT, turning Army Green into climate change green. Soldiers don’t need safe spaces, they need a relentless focus on keeping America safe.”

The Army’s failure to meet its recruitment goals is a shame not only for our country, but for the brave men and women who put their lives on the line to protect us. This is just one more example of how the woke liberals are ruining our great nation. With cancel culture running rampant and political correctness at an all-time high, other countries are going to take advantage of our military’s weakness. We need to get back to basics and make America great again!
