Taco Bell Trolls AOC after She Mocks Investor Who Spent $28 On Lunch There

AOC decided to take a shot at the working class by mocking a $28 lunch from Taco Bell. But as per usual, she’s quickly shut down after receiving backlash from people who actually work for a living. In this video, I’m going to break it all down. Stay tuned.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) thought it was a good idea to troll inflation on Twitter.

The Washington Examiner writes, on Fox Business this week, Scott Martin, chief investment officer at Kingsview Partners, complained about the cost of his Taco Bell lunch. To illustrate “how bad inflation is,” Martin used Taco Bell as an example.

AOC tweeted in response to the clip,  “If someone is talking politics and eating $28 of Taco Bell in one sitting then my immediate follow up question is what their thoughts are on Biden’s executive order on cannabis rescheduling,”

In a tweet of its own, Taco Bell pointed out that 14 burritos at $2 each = $28. “What’s your $28 order?” it asked.

In a tweet, YouTuber Viva Frei accused AOC of hypocrisy.

“Says the woman wearing a $3,000 jacket while fighting for ‘social justice,'” Frei tweeted.

Frei included photos of the blue Proenza Schouler coat alongside another snapshot of AOC wearing what appears to be the garment.

As we reported Thursday, the Bureau of Labor reported that as of September, annual inflation was 8.2%, and core inflation, which excludes energy and food prices, was 6.6%, the highest level since 1982. In both cases, the results exceeded expectations.

While I’m sure Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has dined at some fancy Manhattan restaurants in DC, I can’t help but wonder how much she spends on a lunch outing. I bet it’s far more than the $28 that investor recently spent at Taco Bell. I love how AOC attempted to mock this individual, only to be shut down by Taco Bell and others who pointed out the hypocrisy of her elitist attitude. Maybe AOC should join the rest of us working-class folks on a field trip to Taco Bell. I wonder if she would still scoff at their menu options then. I highly doubt it. In the meantime, I’ll enjoy my perfectly affordable and delicious lunch from good ol’ Taco Bell. And I’ll be thinking about AOC’s insult as I do so. It only serves to prove that she has little understanding of (or respect for) the everyday Americans she was elected to represent.

Let’s continue this conversation, in the comments below.
