The polls are changing even more and it’s not looking good for the Democrats. Asian American support has dropped by 5%, according to this new poll.
The Daily Caller reports, A poll conducted by a coalition of left-wing organizations has found that Democrats are rapidly losing the support of Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) voters.
The survey showed that Democrats lost 5% of their AAPI support, from 56% to 51%, while Republicans gained 2% from 34% to 36%. In the survey, Garin-Hart-Yang Research surveyed several major Democratic-affiliated political organizations, including the largest Democratic-supporting Super PAC, Emily’s List (which supports abortion) and NARAL Pro-Choice America (which funds pro-abortion candidates) as well as the largest labor union in the country, the National Education Association.
According to the survey, AAPI voters’ alignment has shifted by 7% between the 2016 and 2020 elections, making for a total shift of 14% since former President Donald Trump was elected. As part of its effort to broaden its traditional electoral coalition, the GOP has made significant investments in outreach to non-white communities.
There will be more than 13.2 million AAPI voters in the United States in 2022, making them the fastest-growing electoral demographic in the country.
AAPI voters are not the only ones switching parties.
As we previously reported in early October, 54% of Latinos prefer a Democratic-controlled Congress to 33% for a Republican-controlled Congress. In the survey’s 2012 edition, Democrats were preferred by 65% of Latinos to Republicans’ 23%, the lowest margin ever recorded in favor of Democrats.
