Democrat Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer has been caught on a hot microphone saying Thursday that Democrats are going downhill in Georgia and that the Republican candidate Herschel Walker might win the race, among other midterm election updates.
The Washington Examiner writes, he told Biden that Georgia was where they were going downhill. “It’s hard to believe that they will go for Herschel Walker,” Schumer added.
The Democrat Senator also told Biden that Pennsylvania Senate Democratic candidate John Fetterman hurt his chances with his shaky debate performance Tuesday night.
“That seat, we’re in danger in that seat,” Schumer said. “We’ll see.”
Schumer also weighed in on the close Senate race in Nevada, saying, “I think we’re picking up steam in Nevada.”
Despite the hot mic moment, Justin Goodman, Schumer’s spokesman, said in a statement Thursday after the comments from the majority leader that, “Schumer believes the Democratic candidates will win.”
As noted by FOX News, Senate votes are split 50-50, with Democrats technically in the majority because Vice President Harris can break ties. If Republicans pick up just one seat, they will be able to stymie much of Biden’s agenda for the rest of his term.
It’s no surprise that Dem’s are feeling the heat as we approach election day. In an unexpected turn of events, Schumer was caught on a hot mic admitting defeat to Biden on the tarmac. He explained that Democrats are not faring well in Georgia and even mentioned the possibility of Republican Herschel Walker winning the race. This just goes to show that Dem’s know they are toast and a red wave is about to sweep them away. Thanks to candid moments like this one, we see exactly where Schumer and his party stand. It’s clear they have no chance of recovering from this loss. The American people have had enough and it’s time for change. November can’t come sooner as we finally put Dem’s in their place and show them that their time in office is up. Let’s make America great again.
