Tom Cotton has been hot on the campaign trail across the country, to try and re-establish the Republican majority in the senate. Yet on the campaign trail he made a bombshell statement on the 2024 Presidential elections and whether or not he will run for president.

Fox news reports. Sen. Tom Cotton of Arkansas will not run for the presidency in the 2024 election cycle, despite being considered a potential Republican presidential candidate.

Cotton, a rising star in the GOP and an Army veteran who served in combat in the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, has been reaching out to donors, supporters, and aides in recent days to inform them that he won’t launch a presidential campaign, sources within his orbit told Fox News on Sunday. Politico was the first to report the news.

Cotton told donors and supporters that family was a major factor in his decision. The 45-year-old senator and his wife Anna have two children ages five and seven.

According to news outlets even with Tom Cotton out of the Picture there is another presidential candidate that will more than likely contend against President Trump in 2024.

CNN reported. On the campaign trail over the weekend, Donald Trump gave us all a preview of how he would run against Ron DeSantis in the 2024 presidential race.

In a riff on his lead over the other potential Republican 2024 contenders at a rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday, Trump referred to the Florida governor as “Ron DeSanctimonious.”

Watch

Which was not an accident. Trump and DeSantis have been in something of a cold war for months now.

Trump told Yahoo finance “ If I faced him, I’d beat him like I would beat everyone else, I think most people would drop out, I think he would drop out.”

DeSantis recorded a robocall for Colorado Republican Senate nominee Joe O’Dea last month, which Trump branded a “BIG MISTAKE.” In an interview with CNN’s Dana Bash, O’Dea said he would oppose Trump if he were to run for president in 2024.

DeSantis, for his part, has not shown the obeisance to Trump that Trump is used to from GOP politicians. On the eve of the Florida general election, DeSantis and Trump held dueling rallies on the eve of their reelection bids in 2022. Although, at his Florida rally on Sunday, Trump avoided criticizing DeSantis.

The way DeSantis looks, he is gearing up to launch a White House campaign after his expected victory on Tuesday. Politico reported that DeSantis had raised more than $200 million, and has $90 million for his reelection campaign left.

It is unclear who will sit this cycle out when Trump announces his presidential bid in the coming weeks. The only people who will win if there is a President Trump, or a President Desantis, are the American people. The country has been failing at everything we have attempted since Biden took office, we need some winning back. Let’s get started on Saving America in 2024.
