Ny Post reports. According to a new report, a record number of Americans are crossing the southern border to live in Mexico.

Mexican officials announced that more than 8,000 temporary resident visas were issued to US citizens in the first nine months of the year, an 85% increase over the same period last year.

Reverse migration reached its highest level since 2010 when the statistics were first compiled, according to the outlet. A total of 1,619 Americans have chosen Mexico City as their destination, which is 19% more than Puerto Vallarta and Cancun, popular Mexican hot spots. According to the report, the number of US citizens granted permanent residency in Mexico increased by 48% over 2019. According to the ministry report, 5,418 Americans have been granted permanent residency status so far this year.

This comes after many Americans have been found to cross the border for cheaper supplies.

Due to the rapid rise in gas prices, some Texas drivers have headed south of the border to fill up their tanks. Long lines of American cars have been seen at Mexican gas stations. Gas is sold by the liter in Mexico. In Mexico, a liter costs more than 16 pesos, or about $3 a gallon, or $1.15 less than in the U.S.

It’s a shame and embarrassing that under Biden, America has become so bad that our own citizens are fleeing the country. The economy is in shambles, inflation is out of control, and rising costs are making it impossible for people to make ends meet. Meanwhile, Biden does nothing but sit back and watch as the country he was elected to lead crumbles. It’s time for him to wake up and realize that he has failed us. We need a leader who will put America first, not one who is content to watch as our nation falls apart.
