Every day the Customs and Border protection officers are working in their attempts to protect the border and American citizens, despite the severe restrictions placed on them by the Biden administration.

Fox news reports.

A U.S. Customs and Border Protection inspection at the Laredo Port of Entry on Tuesday resulted in the seizure of over $18.6 million in methamphetamine, the agency reported on Saturday.

While attempting entry at the port, a 2010 International Pro Star tractor-trailer carrying paint buckets was referred for secondary inspection by a CBP field officer.

Authorities discovered 2,033 pounds of meth within the shipment after a canine inspection and a non-intrusive inspection system examination. According to Customs and Border Protection, the drugs had a combined street value of $18,694,838.

To help disrupt the flow of deadly, high-risk drugs entering the U.S., officers at the Laredo Port of Entry have “stepped up their enforcement strategy.”

“This exceptional drug bust illustrates CBP’s commitment to fighting transnational criminal organizations,” Flores said.

This news comes on the heels of recent warnings about fentanyl coming across the border.

Daily Caller writes.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection  intercepted a load of fentanyl pills disguised inside tamales at the Arizona-Mexico border, the Nogales port director Michael W. Humphries said on Twitter Thursday.

The Wednesday seizure included around 2,100 fentanyl pills hidden inside the tamales that were inside a cooler, according to Humphries’ tweet. CBP officers seized over 12,000 pounds of fentanyl at the southern border between October 2021 and August 2022, according to agency statistics. Humfries stated in the tweet “Excellent work by officers and K9 teams maintaining a high level of vigilance”

Biden has failed the American people. The border is still not secure and now drugs are getting through. On Tuesday, Customs and Border Protection officers found $18.6 million worth of methamphetamine at the Laredo Port of Entry. This is a huge bust that set the cartels back tens of millions of dollars. But it’s just a drop in the bucket compared to what’s getting through. The Biden administration has put severe restrictions on CBP officers, making it harder for them to do their job. They’re hamstrung by red tape and bureaucracy. Meanwhile, the cartels are making billions of dollars smuggling drugs into the country. It’s time for Biden to wake up and smell the coffee. The safety of Americans is at stake.
