In a massive revelation it appears that former Twitter employees were scamming people out of money to get a vaunted status symbol.

The blue check on twitter is a massive status symbol for many people on the platform. But according to a new release there was a catch if you wanted to have that symbol after your name. 

The republic brief reported. Elon Musk is overhauling Twitter, uncovering inside initiatives, and defining the usage of the social media platform. Now, after Musk’s takeover a bombshell report came out that twitter employees have been selling verification badges for thousands of dollars.

Wall Street Bets Chairman tweeted “Twitter employees were selling verification for upwards of $15,000. For certain accounts, mine included, they would refuse to verify you through the standard application and then privately offer to verify you for $$ behind the scenes. 

Investigation needed.”

To Which Elon Musk Himself replied “ YUP”

If that isn’t crazy enough there are message chains showing those transactions.

In a post by wallstreet bets a tweet shows a series of screen shots from a alleged twitter employee soliciting $15,000 to buy verification on twitter.

In the subsequent images it appears that the contact wisened up to the fact that they were about to be exposed to the world for what they were doing, and began to play dumb.

As the company seems to be rotten to the core, Elon Musk must have his hands full. His recent release of entire departments shows he is doing his best to clean up the mess left behind by its former Woke leaders. But for years, it was clear that only liberals could get verified on twitter, and now there is evidence of corruption behind the blue check status. It is hoped that this will be resolved as soon as possible, as there are many conservative outlets that deserve this status.
