With all the media attention lately on the increasing numbers of illegal immigrants flooding into our country, the residents of Ohio stood strong against illegal immigration this November.
Breitbart reported. Ohio voters overwhelmingly approved a constitutional amendment that clarifies that illegal aliens are banned from voting in local and state elections.
In Tuesday’s midterm elections, nearly 80 percent of Ohio voters approved a constitutional amendment barring illegal aliens from voting in local and state elections. With more than 70 percent of precincts reporting, nearly 2.7 million Ohio voters approved the amendment.
This news comes on the heels of record numbers of illegals crossing into the USA.
Western Journal reports. Western Journal reports at least 853 migrants died trying to illegally enter the US in the past year, making it the deadliest year for illegal immigrants. The deaths occurred amid record migrant encounters at the southern border, with around 2.4 million in fiscal year 2022. Additionally in the fiscal year 2021 there were 546 migrant deaths, Western Journal reported, citing internal Border Patrol data. Yet, in April, a government watchdog reported that Border Patrol didn’t gather and record “complete data on migrant deaths.” Which is convenient for the Biden Administration as the number is likely way higher.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection spokeswoman Cecilia Barreda told reporters “Smuggling organizations are abandoning migrants in remote and dangerous areas, leading to a rise in the number of rescues but also tragically a rise in the number of deaths, The terrain along the border is extreme, the summer heat is severe and the miles of desert migrants must hike after crossing the border in many areas are unforgiving.”
Clearly Illegal immigrants should not vote for any election, nor should they be in this country. Ignoring our nation’s laws, and committing crimes coming to our cities illegally should not be rewarded with being allowed to vote in our elections. Further the attempt by the left to incrementally give rights to illegals shows the path that the left is trying to take when it comes to giving full amnesty, and citizenship to the illegal immigrants. Congratulations to the residents of Ohio on your ability to stand your ground on your beliefs.
