If Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) loses her reelection bid, a Democratic strategist suggested she sign up with a site that sells pornographic content.
The Lincoln Project’s former senior adviser Kurt Bardella said, “I guess it might be a gain for OnlyFans if Boebert loses,” as reported by The Washington Examiner.
People, mostly women, sell pornographic photos and videos on OnlyFans.
On Twitter, Boebert slammed the attack, saying, “Liberals even suck at feminism. Can y’all do anything right?”
On Thursday, Bardella took to Twitter to retract his comment, but insisted his critics are hypocrites.
“I appreciate your feedback and when someone from your vantage point weighs in – that warrants consideration and reflection. I’ll be more thoughtful about my words in the future. It is NEVER my intention to shame women. I apologize. Period,” Bardella wrote to kick off a series of tweets.
“There is nothing wrong with consensual interactions on platforms like OnlyFans. Anyone suggesting otherwise in an effort to shame or judge really needs to examine their own perception of women and their autonomy,” he continued before claiming his conservative critics don’t truly care about sexism.
“That said, I have zero appetite for the faux-outrage coming from the MAGA-ites because we all know they don’t give a rip about sexism, misogyny or equality. They are hypocrites of the first order,” Bardella wrote. “Just look at their standard-bearer.”
As of Friday morning with 99% of the vote counted, Congresswoman Boebert was leading her Democrat opponent Adam Frisch by a little over 1,000 votes.
It’s refreshing to see a politician stand up for herself and hold the media accountable. We need more strong women like Lauren Boebert in office. In today’s political climate, it’s important to hold everyone accountable – including the media.
