Over the weekend, Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR) disputed the idea that the Republican Party has a single leader in former president Donald Trump. He pointed out that the party has a number of high-level governors who are stars.
The Daily Wire reports, Cotton made the remarks on CBS News’ “Face the Nation” with Margaret Brennan when asked if Trump should remain the party’s leader.
And Cotton’s remarks align well with how the country is shifting in regards to the best choice to be the GOP nominee in 2024.
There has been a shift among Republican and Republican-leaning Independents regarding who they believe is the best choice to be the Republican Party’s presidential nominee in 2024.
According to a new survey by YouGov, conservatives now want Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) as their party’s nominee after Tuesday’s midterm elections.
Republican and Republican-leaning Independents now prefer DeSantis (42%) over Trump (35%), according to the survey. The results are a reversal from nearly a month ago, when just 35% of U.S. adults preferred DeSantis to 45% for Trump.
In general, strong Republicans were evenly divided between the two candidates, but independent-leaning Republicans favored DeSantis more than two-to-one.
As the republican party looks toward the 2024 presidential election, there is much speculation as to who will lead the charge. While many believe that former President Donald Trump will make another run for the presidency, others are saying that it’s time for new leadership. Senator Tom Cotton, for one, believes that there is no single leader of the republican party – rather, there are a number of high-level governors who are stars in their own right. As the party looks for a new standard-bearer, it will be interesting to see who steps up to the plate.

They are all wrong here! No one has understood the plan, so naturally most of these real RINO's will just go along with anything to keep their place !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Who the hell are these other governors? The fact is Desantis started this debate and put doubt in peoples heads This is exactly what the DS/Cabal want. A divided GOP. Desantis is ambitious but not a team player. Trump got him to where he is, but Desantis is not behind the greatest mind on the planet when it comes to the Cabal/DS. The White Hat military are NOT going to follow Desantis, nor are the other leaders of the world. The plan has been enacted. so why is Desantis doing this?
Mr. Cotton, have YOU gone FEEBLE MINDED when you say you support Ole-Turtle-Neck, the Democratically controlled 'm.mcconnell'?? LOOK AT HIS VOTING RECORD!!!!
