The FL Governor’s response to a question regarding Trump’s rivalry was absolutely perfect. There’s no doubt that he’s growing tired of the unneeded drama, given that he shut down those reporters in the best manner possible.
Following former president Donald Trump’s social media attack on him, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis dismissed speculation about a GOP civil war. As he spoke, DeSantis avoided talking about the 2024 election, telling reporters to “chill out.”
The remarks came in response to a question about recovery efforts following Hurricane Ian.

"We just finished this election, ok? People just need to chill out a little bit on some of this stuff, I mean seriously […] We have this Georgia runoff coming, which is very important for Republicans to win." pic.twitter.com/XduafoZJif
DeSantis concluded by saying he was focused on what more he could do to make his state the best in the country.
On Truth Social, Trump criticized DeSantis and claimed he was primarily responsible for the success of the Florida governor after the midterm elections in 2022. The president implied that DeSantis is indebted to him and shouldn’t run against him in 2024.
As for Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, she’s not worried about a GOP civil war. During a podcast interview with former Trump adviser Steve Bannon, Greene said, “We’re going to fight it out.”

It’s time to end the drama and unite. No more infighting. It’s time to come together to defeat the Democrats. That was Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’ message to reporters after former President Donald Trump’s social media attack on him. DeSantis dismissed speculation about a GOP civil war, telling reporters to “chill out.” He’s right. It’s time to focus on defeating the Democrats, not each other. It’s time to put aside our differences and come together to win in 2024. We can do this. But it starts with unity.
