FTX seriously messed up and the story behind the scandals involved behind the scenes is literally out of some bad crime novel. But as is often the case, fiction cannot hold a candle to reality. To further add to the insanity of the situation, a Democrat who is financially supported by FTX’s CEO is investigating him.

News Punch reported. A little flashback: Sam Bankman-Fried, the founder of FTX, and five other cryptocurrency exchange executives testified before The House Financial Services Committee in December 2021. During Bankman-Fried’s exit from the hearing, footage showed Maxine Waters blowing a kiss towards  the mega-Democrat donor.

Watch.

The House Committee on Financial Services announced this week. “Today, the Chairwoman of the House Financial Services Committee, Congresswoman Maxine Waters (D-CA), and the Ranking Member of the House Financial Services Committee, Congressman Patrick McHenry (R-NC), announced a bipartisan hearing into the collapse of FTX and the broader consequences for the digital asset ecosystem. In December, the Committee expects to hear from the companies and individuals involved, including Sam Bankman-Fried, Alameda Research, Binance, FTX, and related entities, among others.”

But Twitter sleuths were quick to note how close Maxine Waters is to FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Fried.

Jordan Schachtel tweeted. Maxine Waters is chairing the investigation into FTX

He continued “ Just a victim of his own success!”

The right side of the media is losing its mind over the crazy connections between FTX and Democrat politicians.

The Daily Caller writes, In the midterm elections, Fried was the second biggest donor to Democratic candidates and spent millions on them before the money was available.

Bankman-Fried donated to candidates including Kristen Gillibrand of New York, Dick Durbin of Illinois, Tina Smith of Minnesota and Bob Menendez of New Jersey.

Here’s what Charles Payne had to say about the revelations.

It appears that Maxine Waters is exactly the wrong person to put in charge of this job, and any legitimate investigation would immediately pull Waters from the position. But as we know the CEO will be insulated from the brunt of the fallout from their mis management of the funds, and the Democrats will do their best to protect one of their prized money laundering brain childs. So, we already know the outcome of this, as the Democrats race to have their investigation neatly tied up before the new Republican majority is sworn in, in January. What we can all do now is call our representatives and demand they look into this in other ways, and hold these people accountable.
