While speaking at the White House Tribal Nations Summit, President Biden cast doubt on his potential reelection bid in 2024.

The Washington Examiner writes, an unknown person in the crowd shouted “four more years” at Biden after he finished his speech. In response, the president thanked the individual and waved off the comment.

“I don’t know about that,” Biden said.

Biden’s comments are a big shift from his previous remarks on a possible run for a second term. 

In early November, Biden held a press conference at the White House where he said that he and his family are going to “have discussions” about running for re-election in the 2024 presidential election, the Daily Caller reported at the time.

A November exit poll found at least 67% of voters opposed Biden’s reelection, and nearly half said Biden’s policies were hurting the country. His age has also been a concern for many, as he just celebrated his 80th birthday.

It reminds me of the Democrat Congresswoman who let something slip during an interview with the New York Times and immediately regretted it. According to Democratic Rep. Carolyn Maloney, President Joe Biden will not run for re-election in 2024. Having been asked whether Biden should run again for president by the New York Times’ editorial board, Maloney replied, “Off the record, he’s not running again.” An editorial board member informed Maloney that she was in fact not off the record. Maloney had to retract her CNN comments after The Times published her entire interview.

With Joe Biden making this recent comment about his plans for re-election in 2024, it seems as if it’s a sealed deal just waiting to be revealed in an official announcement.
