A few Democrat senators are sounding the alarm bell over the soon to end Title 42, and the massive influx of illegal immigrants.

The southern border is in shambles, and now even the Democrats are starting to raise the alarm on the over 2.3 million illegal immigrants that have crossed the border, and now that problem will get even worse with a Trump Era law is set to expire. 

Washington Review wrote. There is growing concern among Senate Democrats that the Biden administration has not adequately prepared for the expected chaos upon ending Title 42, which allows noncitizens to be turned away immediately.

In a recent letter, Arizonans Kyrsten Sinema and Mark Kelly, Montana’s Jon Tester, and New Hampshire’s Maggie Hassan pressed Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas to explain how he would secure the southern border since Department of Homeland Security documents show the agency expects more noncitizens to cross illegally each day than Border Patrol agents.

The group of senators wrote in a letter to Secretary  Mayorkas on November 18th  “ In Fiscal Year 2022, of the over 2.3 million individuals encountered by [U.S. Customs and Border Protection] at the Southwest Border, just over 1 million were processed under the Title 42 authority, While Title 42 expulsion totals reflect repeat attempts to enter the United States, a sharp end to Title 42 would nonetheless significantly increase the number of migrants apprehended along the Southwest Border under Title 8. This is a fact that DHS itself concedes,”

Recently border patrol agents shared fears over title 42’s ending.

According to six employees who spoke with the Washington Examiner, thousands of US Border Patrol agents are preparing for an unprecedented migration event at the southern border with Mexico when pandemic policy Title 42 ends just days before Christmas.

“Title 42 was a cracked dam. We all know that when it breaks, a huge flood is coming. The flood of people coming in at once will cripple our already broken immigration system,” a senior agent in West Texas told the Washington Examiner this week. “Customs and Border Protection will have no other choice but to release virtually everyone.”

The border has never been in a crisis like it is now. In the 90’s and early 2000’s when the border first became a major concern the flow of illegal immigrants was just a tithe of what it is now, and these numbers just keep growing. America has over 330 million people in it, and so far this year alone over 2.3 million illegal immigrants. The Biden administration and other key Democrats are continuing to push to keep the borders wide open, and that allows or a massive amount of illegal drugs and deadly criminals to flow in. We need Trump back in office, he will guarantee that the border is secured once again!
