California is home to a lot of liberal strongholds, and in those strongholds are activist council members, representatives and an activist Governor.
Daily mail wrote. California passed a bill creating a taskforce to implement reparations. Governor Gavin Newsom formed the nine-member Reparations Task Force as part of the largest effort to address slavery reparations in the country’s history.
Watch.
For ‘housing discrimination’, descendants of slaves in California could receive $223,200 each from the reparations committee.
To compensate the 2.5 million Black Californians for setbacks between 1933 and 1977, the California task force has focused on ‘housing discrimination’ – an estimated $569 billion would be needed.
The amount is more than California’s $512.8billion expenditure in 2021, which included money for schools, hospitals, universities, highways, policing, and corrections.
Recently a reparations effort was criticized for being race neutral.
Washington post reported.
In Providence, RI, reparations programs are being used to rectify the city’s history of discrimination against Black residents.
Recently, Mayor Jorge Elorza (D) signed a $10 million budget for Providence Municipal Reparations with Black residents by his side. “The radical thing that we did was we put Black voices in the center of city policymaking,” Elorza said in an interview.
The program is aimed at helping Black and Native American residents of the city, but there’s a catch: It is race-neutral.
Providence residents of color and Native Americans qualify automatically, but there is also a separate income criteria that could apply to about half of its White residents.
This has angered critics who say it is unclear how much of the money will go to Black residents, who make up 12 percent of the population.
There have been a number of reparation attempts over the years, and while the tradition was absolutely evil and horrific – it included many non black slaves as well. Additionally there was African American slave owners, and other individuals who owned slaves that were non white. This is one of those issues that is almost impossible to get right, no matter the amount of money or deal there will never be a settling in that account. But what does matter is that millions of Americans died to end the practice, and that the majority of the world does not practice that horrific slaving practice. Although there are many countries in the world at present day that actively practice, and quietly encourage this. The focus should be on getting those people out of bonds, world wide and then we can get back to the talks domestically.

Well dang it does that mean I qualify? One of my ancestors was a white slave, he was owned by a black person, so I think my sister and my self should get at least the same amount that others are getting, that would only be fair otherwise this whole thing would be racist from the start.
I can see lots of big black street parties going on, drugs and booze all over the place, while all the hospitals, schools, and small businesses disappear. Then you have Afrifornia.
