Fox News Terminates Trump Over Company Policy

Following a company policy being triggered after Donald Trump announced his presidential bid, Fox news was forced to terminate a Trump family member from the network.

After her father-in-law’s reelection campaign was announced, Fox News has ended the paid contributor role of Lara Trump, the wife of former president Donald Trump’s son, Eric.

Fox News reports, the network confirmed Saturday that the former president’s daughter-in-law would no longer be employed there. She joined the network as a paid contributor in March 2021, two months after her father-in-law left office.

As per the network’s protocol, she wasn’t allowed to work for it if she was running for office or had close ties to a candidate. According to the outlet, Fox News executive chairman Rupert Murdoch has publicly opposed her father-in-law’s decision to run again.

Lara Trump has not appeared on the network since her father-in-law announced his third presidential bid in a Nov. 15 speech at his Mar-a-Lago residence. She commonly joined programs on the network to defend her father-in-law against criticism surrounding January 6 and the FBI raid on Mar-a-Lago.

This recent termination comes after it was discovered that the owners of Fox News do not support Trump’s bid for the White House.

Red state reports, with President Trump now running for election in 2024, he will do so without the support of one of the most powerful people in news: media magnate Rupert Murdoch. Even worse for The Donald, the mogul and one of his sons are reportedly impressed by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.

I news reported that Murdoch urged Trump to not run again and threatened to back a Democrat if he did. Further a Murdoch representative told I news that “We [Murdoch’s News Corp.] have been clear with Donald. There have been conversations between them during which Rupert made it clear to Donald that we cannot back another run for the White House,”

Molly Jong-fast tweeted “in case your wondering what Rupert Murdoch is thinking” and showed images of articles and covers from Murdoch news sources blasting the president as the “Biggest Loser”

Although we may not like the fact that Lara Trump has been released from the network, and it may appear that some bias played a role, Sarah Huckabee Sanders was released from the network after she announced she was running for governor of Arkansas. Unfortunately, this is a necessary part of Fox News’ journalistic integrity to remove any sense of impropriety. However, it should not be discounted that the Murdoch family is against the greatest President we have had running for office again, and we hope that the Murdoch family changes course on their beliefs of Donald Trump.

Let’s continue this conversation, in the comments below.
