It has just been revealed that Joe Biden made a secret deal with the Saudis that could be illegal. The GOP is planning to launch an investigation into the matter because the Saudis said one thing and Biden said something completely different.

According to the Daily Wire Reports, a ranking Republican on the House Oversight Committee is starting an investigation into reports of President Joe Biden’s “secret deal” with Saudi Arabia.

Rep. James Comer (R-KY) is asking leaders at the Department of Energy, State Department, Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to explain the President’s strategy.

“According to a New York Times article published in October, the Comer Committee is investigating reports of a ‘secret deal’ between the Biden Administration and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

He concluded, “the American people have a right to know if his Administration is engaging in backdoor market manipulations with adversarial nations while jeopardizing our national security.”

It was requested by December 19 that the information be provided.

If you remember, this deal was only made public back in november because there was breaking news that democrats were furious Saudi Arabia broke off their secret deal. The question is, would the American people even have found out had that not happened?

The New Post reported, according to a report released back in November, that the Biden administration believed it had agreed to keep oil flowing from the Middle East before OPEC+ cut production earlier that month.

Here is a clip of two Republican congressmen, Pat Fallon and Dan Meuser, reacting to the news breaking of the biden secret deal.

Biden reportedly discussed the deal during a controversial visit to the Middle East in July as part of his administration’s desperate effort to convince Saudi Arabia to help ease record-high gas prices. This contradicts Biden’s own claim that the trip was primarily about regional politics, not petroleum.

The left was doomed to lose in the midterms and it was apparent that Biden’s administration sought a possible last-minute win with a deal with the Saudis. This could prove problematic however, as the republicans seem intent on uncovering any shady dealings associated with this arrangement. Whether or not the democrats had ulterior motives for making the deal remains to be seen, but one thing is certain: those who voted in these midterms deserve transparency, and it’s up to the Republicans to make sure they get it.
