The FTX scandal is one weird situation, everyday we learn about new addictions, mis-managed monies, and the potential coverup from Democrats who received massive donations from the company and its founders. 

Daily wire reports,  Representative Maxine Waters is not planning to subpoena disgraced former FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Fried to testify about the company’s rapid collapse next week, according to reports.

Sources told CNBC that Waters informed the SEC chair Gary Gensler of her decision Tuesday during a private meeting

According to the report, Waters told members she wants Bankman-Fried to testify “voluntarily” even though he has not agreed to do so.

Maxine Waters tweeted “Your willingness to talk to the public will help the company’s customers, investors, and others. To that end, we would welcome your participation in our hearing on the 13th.”

To Which SBF tweeted back “Once I have finished learning and reviewing what happened, I would feel like it was my duty to appear before the committee and explain. I’m not sure that will happen by the 13th, But when it does, I will testify.”

Maxine Waters was in hot water after an old video re-surfaced showing her affection towards Sam Bankman-Fried.

A little flashback: Sam Bankman-Fried, the founder of FTX, and five other cryptocurrency exchange executives testified before The House Financial Services Committee in December 2021. During Bankman-Fried’s exit from the hearing, footage showed Maxine Waters blowing a kiss towards  the mega-Democrat donor.

The House Committee on Financial Services announced “a bipartisan hearing into the collapse of FTX and the broader consequences for the digital asset ecosystem.”  Sam Bankman-Fried was listed to be at the hearing.

But Twitter sleuths were quick to note how close Maxine Waters is to FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Fried.

Jordan Schachtel tweeted. Maxine Waters is chairing the investigation into FTX 

He continued “ Just a victim of his own success!”

It is pretty clear what is happening. SBF donated lots of money to Democrats, and when we say lots of money it is more than some small countries produce in a year. Further the company FTX helped funnel donations to the Democrat party, and worked to help monies going into Ukraine. The collapse of the company is shrouded in rumors, and nobody knows exactly what happened, except that they screwed millions of people out of their money. Now, congress can get answers but with compromised Maxine Waters leading the investigation it is clear that those answers will not come.
