Recently, Congressman Adam Schiff blasted Elon Musk and his companies in a twitter post. However, Elon Musk wasn’t going to take that lying down and quickly reminded Schiff who was in charge now. Musk’s response was a fact-check label that check-mated Schiff . Let’s take a look at what happened.

The Daily Wire reports, Twitter CEO Elon Musk responded directly to a prominent House Democrats’ concerns about hate speech on Twitter.

Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) cited statistics showing an increase in slurs against black people, women, Jews, and homosexuals on “Elon Musk’s Twitter.” Schiff said in a tweet that the numbers were unacceptable, adding that he was calling for action.

Which then prompted Elon to respond to the agree tweet with this, “False, hate speech impressions are actually down by 1/3 for Twitter now vs prior to acquisition

Not to mention that Rep. Schiff had been paying attention, Musk celebrated the downward trend in hate speech in late November with a tweet that follows:

“Hate speech impressions down by 1/3 from pre-spike levels. Congrats to the Twitter team!”

It’s safe to say Representative Schiff’s outrage may be a result of Democrats’ loss of control over Twitter. They can no longer request a tweet be removed because they disagree with it. It’s like removing a child’s security blanket from them. At first they throw a fit, but eventually they get over it.

Fox News reported the revolving door between government, liberal groups, and big tech has been exemplified by James Baker, Twitter’s former deputy general counsel, who Elon Musk fired on Tuesday as a result of revelations about his handling of the Hunter Biden laptop story.

Baker was fired by Musk after journalist Matt Taibbi published internal communications showing conversations between Twitter employees about how to deal with the New York Post’s publication of Hunter Biden’s laptop materials.

During discussions about whether the laptop qualifies as “hacked material,” Baker said that they needed more facts to “assess whether the materials were hacked,” but added, “it’s reasonable for us to assume that they were and caution is warranted.”

Previously, Baker was FBI general counsel, leading the investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election. As a result of his resignation from the FBI in 2018, Baker joined a left-leaning group before joining the social media giant.

Democrats absolutely adored Elon Musk, that is until he sparked a huge political controversy by controversially buying failing Twitter. Now, you can hardly hear his name expressed without vitriol from the Left. Ironically, it seems those who pride themselves on being environmentalists are turning their backs on Tesla cars as an act of protest. To top it all off, the Biden Administration has entertained such baseless accusations against him that they have gone as far to consider launching an investigation! Who would have thought? Let’s not forget though, Elon Musk remains one of the most influential people in the country – so if anyone has the power to weather these tiny showers, my money will bet on him.
