The sheriff is clashing with Arizona’s current Governor Doug Ducey over shipping containers to make sure illegals are still able to cross the border.

Over 2.4 million illegal immigrants have entered the country illegally over the last twelve months, and when Arizona’s current governor attempts to do something about it, a local sheriff is trying to stop him.

Townhall reports,  Gov. Doug Ducey (R-AZ) has promised to build a wall on the southern border to stop the influx of illegal migrants. 

Nevertheless, an Arizona county sheriff is threatening anyone who assists with getting shipping containers into the state to build the wall. 

In an interview with Fox 10 Phoenix, Sheriff David Hathaway expressed frustration about the large shipping containers being sent to the border by Ducey. 

He said he would arrest anyone assisting Ducey.

Although the sheriff does not believe that illegal immigration is not a problem, a number of republican lawmakers are set to do something about it. 

Daily caller reports, Recently, dozens of Republican Texas Representatives unveiled a plan for securing the border that aims to reduce the number of illegal immigrants entering the country. 

In addition to building a southern border wall, the lawmakers, including Reps. Dan Crenshaw and Chip Roy, hope to fix federal policies permitting the release of illegal immigrants. According to the plan, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) will be able to deport more individuals in the country illegally and designate Mexican cartels as terrorist organizations. In fiscal year 2022, US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) encountered more than 2.3 million migrants at the southern border, with an additional 230,000 encountered in October. 

In terms of interior enforcement, Republican lawmakers want the Biden administration to stop limiting ICE arrests and deportations. In September, the Biden administration restricted ICE’s targets to those who threaten border security, national security, and public safety.

Crenshaw was recently asked about the southern border, and proposed legislation.

Democrats refuse to acknowledge there is a border crisis on the southern border, which is ludicrous. In just this year alone, millions of illegal immigrants have crossed the border, and illegal drugs have also crossed. On the border, Joe Biden has failed this country. He should have left Trump’s policies in place since they were actually working. To fix our nation’s economy as well as fix the border, Donald Trump must return to office.
