If you’ve decided to stay away from the Covid jab, you may be at risk for something else! A ridiculous new study is making claims that you will laugh at. But it may be a ploy for something more. Wait till you see this.
A ridiculous new study claims that those who have chosen not to get vaccinated may be at a higher risk of ending up in a traffic accident – and therefore pay more when it comes to insurance rates. But don’t let this ridiculous study scare you into getting the shot because they’re claiming people who thought they were protecting their health by getting the jab are somehow more responsible with decisions behind the wheel.
Citing a new study published in The American Journal of Medicine, NewsPunch reports that people who have refused to have the Covid jabs are more likely to “neglect basic road safety guidelines.”
The study’s authors even suggest insurance companies use their findings to increase premiums for unvaccinated drivers, writing, “The findings are significant enough that primary care doctors should consider counseling unvaccinated patients on traffic safety—and insurance companies might base changes to insurance policies on vaccination data”.
The study also found that if you passed on getting the jab, you might be a lot more likely to get into a car crash.
Unvaccinated people were 72% more likely than vaccinated people to be involved in a severe traffic crash that involved at least one hospitalization. Research found that sleep apnea people have a similar increased risk of car crashes, although it’s about half that of alcohol abusers.
In their study, the authors concluded that the excess risk of a car crash posed by unvaccinated drivers overshadows the benefits of modern automobile engineering advances and poses a risk to other road users as well.
Obviously, skipping a COVID vaccine does not increase the risk of a car accident. Rather, the authors suggest that people who resist public health recommendations might also ignore basic road safety guidelines.
Researchers suggest that primary care doctors should counsel unvaccinated patients about traffic safety, and insurance companies might modify their policies based on vaccination data.
Distrust of the government, a belief in freedom, misconceptions of daily risks, “faith in natural protection,” “antipathy toward regulation,” poverty, misinformation, a lack of resources, and personal beliefs are potential reasons that the unvaccinated ignore the rules of the road proposed by the authors.
This unbelievable junk study is obviously cooked up by those with too much time on their hands. The fact that it claims that people who resist being vaccinated are more likely to get into a car accident – and therefore pay more for insurance rates – is just nonsense. When we look at the data, it becomes clear that this junk research has no evidence to back-up its ill-formed conclusions. Resisting COVID jab recommendations has no correlation with road safety standards whatsoever and there are plenty of safe drivers who have chosen not to get the shot. This study may make a good headline but it’s just another example of leftist propaganda attempting to manipulate public opinion through fearmongering.
