I’m not sure what he was expecting, but the visit of the Homeland Security Secretary to the border city of El Paso, Texas didn’t go as he expected it to go.

The U.S./Mexico Border has been tense lately, and with good reason. But I don’t think anyone expected things to go this bad when Secretary of Homeland Security Alejanjdro Mayorkas made a visit to El Paso, Texas and decided to insult all the border patrol agents with his lies.

Washington Examiner reports, According to three government officials, at least one Border Patrol agent confronted Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas during his visit to El Paso, Texas, this week about his response to the millions of illegal immigration attempts made at the U.S.-Mexico border since President Biden took office.

During his visit to West Texas, Mayorkas met with members of the Border Patrol, Air and Marine Operations, and Office of Field Operations of Customs and Border Protection.

A senior Border Patrol agent in El Paso told the Washington Examiner, “When he stated he was here to bring light to suicide prevention and nothing about the migrant crisis, our staff couldn’t believe it and made it known to him.”

At the discussion, one federal law enforcement agent asked Mayorkas why he continued to claim that the border was “secure” when agents were concerned that this assessment was inaccurate given the hundreds of thousands of noncitizens they observed illegally entering and absconding.

The same agent said, “they asked him why he’s saying that the border is secure when we have no agents in the field.”

“He had the nerve to respond that he never said the border was secure.”

Let’s jolt his memory for a second. Here is Mayorkas claiming the border is secure.

Well, now that is resolved.

Having repeatedly lied and disrespected border patrol agents, who probably hate his guts, he had the nerve to post this after everything went well.

In El Paso today, I met with the extraordinary

Though Mayorkas traveled 2,000 miles from Washington, he didn’t leave the Department of Homeland Security facilities to visit downtown El Paso or any spot along “the line,” where Border Patrol agents apprehend illegal immigrants.

The typical Biden Administration employee. In order to document that he was at the border and take a photo, so that they can continue to claim that the border is secure.

Our border patrol on the frontlines of our nation’s borders are heroes who are deserving of a much better treatment than they have been receiving from this administration. They have been lied to, overworked, and micromanaged to a fault as the government attempts to manage the ongoing border disaster. The egregious use of our border patrol as political pawns highlights the callousness of this administration, when they send ranking officials to the border only for their own political gain and not to actually aid in efforts or direct solutions. This needs to be addressed immediately in order for us to end the ongoing border crisis.
