A CNN White House correspondent stated Sunday that the images from the southern border will be “impossible” for the Biden administration to ignore if Title 42 is lifted.

CNN’s Jeremy Diamond made the comment on the network’s show: “Inside Politics.”

He added that the White House is preparing for the border crisis, as well as attempting to get ahead of it, but most of the administration’s response has been reactionary, as noted by FOX News.

Title 42 is set to expire on Wednesday, however, the Biden administration insists that they are prepared for its expiration – without releasing concrete information on exactly what their plan is.

During a recent morning briefing with reporters, National Security Council strategic communications coordinator John Kirby simply stated, “We have been and continue to plan for its expiration next week.”

In addition, when asked about how the Biden administration will deal with the expected influx of illegal immigrants, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre failed to provide specifics.

Once Title 42 expires, the Department of Homeland Security estimates that 9,000 to 15,000 migrants could cross each day.

When asked if the administration is prepared for the anticipated surge in migrants, Karine Jean Pierre gave another nonanswer.

The border crisis has been left to fester by the Biden administration and their lack of action. With the end of Title 42 fast approaching, President Biden has yet to take appropriate measures to protect border security. It is a disgrace that no plan has been announced in the event of Title 42’s expiration. It would be wise for the president to extend Title 42, but in the meantime, all we can do is await greater clarity from this administration on how they intend to manage border security issues.
