Lauren Boebert took a shot at Marjorie Taylor Greene during an interview and MTG fired back sparking an online all out war.
Politics can get heated especially with the current state of the country. Normally you would expect to see politicians of different parties going at it over issues and topics, yet now we have a war being raged between 2 Republicans.
Daily wire reports, Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) and Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) went to war Monday night after Boebert criticized Greene in an interview.
In response to Boebert’s question regarding Greene’s support for making House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) the next speaker of the House, Boebert brought up Greene’s past anti-Semitic conspiracy theories.
Watch.
to Which MTG replied on Twitter “I’ve supported and donated to Lauren Boebert. President Trump has supported and donated to Lauren Boebert. Kevin McCarthy has supported and donated to Lauren Boebert. She just barely came through by 500 votes.”
MTG continued her assault by stating “She gladly takes our $$$ but when she’s been asked: Lauren refuses to endorse President Trump, she refuses to support Kevin McCarthy, and she childishly threw me under the bus for a cheap sound bite.”
MTG concluded her statement with “The country is facing extremely difficult times. Americans expect conservative fighters like us to work together to Save America and that is the only mission I’m 100% devoted to, not high school drama and media sound bites.”
This battle ensued over Kevin Mccarthy taking house leadership.
Washington Examiner reports, Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) faces an intensifying Republican rebellion that threatens to derail his long-running bid for speaker.
The Republican majority in the House is threadbare, so he can only afford a few defections, but three members have already publicly announced that they will not vote for him. There is a risk that he will repeat his failed bid in 2015.
It is no secret that one of McCarthy’s most bitter critics is Rep. Matt Gaetz, who defected from the House GOP caucus early in the campaign. Gaetz is confident McCarthy will not win the gavel in January when the dust settles.
A recent addition to the GOP insurgency list is Ralph Norman, who declared he would not support McCarthy citing concerns about “runaway federal spending.” He noted McCarthy refused a seven-year budget prepared by the Republican Study Committee to “pay off the deficit” and said he would not support it.
Andy Biggs came out publicly against McCarthy shortly after mounting a futile challenge for the Republican nomination for speaker, emphasizing that voters he spoke to wanted “new leadership” in Congress. Biggs chided that McCarthy won’t be crossing the 218 threshold and vowed not to help him.
It looks like republicans are eating their own as Reps. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) and Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) engage in an all-out political war. On Monday night, Boebert criticized Greene over her support for making House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) the next speaker of the House and addressed Greene’s anti-Semitic conspiracy theories. It appears that politics is a blood sport with these two republicans not mutually exclusive from the fist fight. Who will emerge victorious? Will it be Boebert or will Trump’s wingwoman prevail in her quest for power and leadership? We may have to wait until the dust finally settles to see who scored the most political points. Howerer, it should be noted that instead of fighting it would be better for them to continue working together in order to make America great again.
