This weekend, NASCAR took to Twitter just a week before the Christmas holiday – the birth of Christ. – and wished their fans a “Happy Holiday.”

This is the saying used by those looking for a way to acknowledge the Christmas holiday without actually saying, “Merry Christmas,” as noted by Breitbart.

NASCAR’s attempt to be inclusive was met with a negative response from its overwhelmingly Christian and conservative fan base.

One fan commented, “I think what you meant to say was “Merry CHRISTmas”!!!”

Another Twitter user added, “It’s Merry Christmas- Sincerely, A Muslim.”

And another said, “Screw that! MERRY CHRISTMAS!”

As noted by the DailyMail, NASCAR has made efforts in recent years to diversify its fan base and attract a more diverse audience.

NASCAR has previously used the term ‘Happy Holidays’ and the more generic ‘Seasons Greetings’ in its holiday greetings.

There were even references to Hanukkah and Kwanzaa on one occasion.

In terms of NASCAR wokeness, these tweets are nowhere near the Bubba Wallace noose hoax, but are yet another example of an American sport trying to get rid of its fans.

When woke companies such as NASCAR try to be politically correct in their messaging, they often fail to accurately reflect the needs and values of their audience. NASCAR’s attempt at inclusion backfired when they tweeted a “Happy Holidays” message instead of saying “Merry Christmas” to celebrate the birth of Christ. Furious fans quickly voiced their discontent with the innocuous tweet, expressing that it is an affront to their beliefs while calling out NASCAR’s woke ideology.
