SCOTUS Blindsides Biden with Title 42 Ruling – His Press Sec Releases SICK Statement in Response

Although the White House promises to comply with the Supreme Court order that leaves Title 42 in place for now, it blames congressional Republicans for the chaos at the southern border, where thousands of migrants have gathered waiting for a ruling.

According to the Washington Examiner, on Tuesday, Biden’s press secretary Karine Jean Pierre released a statement that reads in part, “Title 42 is a public health measure, not an immigration enforcement measure, and it should not be extended indefinitely. To truly fix our broken immigration system, we need Congress to pass comprehensive immigration reform measures like the ones President Biden proposed on his first day in office.”

KJP added, “Today’s order gives Republicans in Congress plenty of time to move past political finger-pointing and join their Democratic colleagues in solving the challenge at our border by passing the comprehensive reform measures and delivering the additional funds for border security that President Biden has requested.”

The conditions along the southern border are getting worse, and thousands of immigrants are hoping Title 42 will be rolled back so they can apply for asylum and remain in the United States.

However, earlier this week, Joe Biden said that ending Title 42 is “overdue.”

Many Republicans reacted to the Supreme Court’s ruling keeping Title 42 in place, with former Secretary of State Mike Pomepeop tweeting, “I’m glad the Supreme Court has temporarily kept Title 42 in place. But securing the border is a core responsibility of the Biden administration—not of the Supreme Court.”

And Kelly Loeffler rebuked Karine Jean-Pierre’s Tuesday statement placing the blame on Republicans, tweeting, “Not only did the Biden Admin actively lobby to end Title 42 – every Democrat U.S. Senator voted against it in August. Open borders are not a humane solution – it’s a political solution. Grateful the Supreme Court is siding with American law and not the cartels.”

In a major blow to the Biden administration, SCOTUS blindsided them with a ruling to extend Title 42 and leave chaos and disorder at the southern border. To make matters worse, Joe Biden himself had recently stated that ending of Title 42 is “overdue” yet his press secretary could only respond by blaming congressional Republicans for the chaos. This is shameful on the part of the Biden administration as they have failed to create an alternate plan despite knowing full well that the US border needs greater national security measures. By not doing anything, they are essentially inviting chaos and creating an unsafe scenario in the region.
